Meet Your Private Chef

Successful female pastry chef and founder of the Ideal Pastry in the Sonoran Desert with her favorite colorful apron.

Lisa is the founder of The Ideal Pastry™, a boutique culinary business dedicated to creating the ultimate Afternoon Tea experience in the Scottsdale area with exceptional flavor and artistry. Trained at the International Culinary Arts & Sciences Institute and the Culinary Institute of America, Lisa was formerly responsible for Afternoon Tea at the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale under Executive Pastry Chef Yudith Bustos-Taleno. Her specialties are homemade pasta, food with flavor, fine pastries and handcrafted chocolate bonbons. Her work blends classical technique with creative design, resulting in culinary delicacies that are as visually stunning as they are delicious.

Luxury in food is something to see and savor. She is as passionate about flavor as about how a bite looks and feels. If you ask her what she is allergic to her first response is bad food and no taste.

As a former interior designer and artist she has an eye for creating the optimum aesthetic at home and on the plate. Lisa is well known for her use of color. She looks at fine pastry and chocolate both as sculpture and vehicles to provide pleasurable taste sensations.

Design matters, “when you think about it, every thing is designed - food, art, a car, clothing; every element must make sense. I put the same care into a meal, every component: taste, texture, look, and color has to have a purpose.”
